About the event
Join RiversEdge West for a volunteer event at the Dos Rios Island on August 15, 2024 from 8 am - 10 am.
At this event we will primarily be installing caging around native plants to protect them from beavers and other wildlife. Other tasks may include invasive plant removal, trash cleanup, and installing fencing. Please note that the exact meeting location, timing, and tasks may change depending on river levels and temperature to ensure safety.
Light snacks and coffee will be provided. Work will all be outside, so please bring water, proper work attire (we recommend pants, close-toed shoes, and long sleeves), and sun protection. Specialized tools and work gloves will be provided, but you may also bring your own (no chainsaws). All ages are welcome, but all participants under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. This event is limited to the first 20 participants. Registration is required.
