About the event

What: A day of trail work along various trails in McInnis Canyons front country (Devil’s Canyon area). Our friends at Mesa Monument Striders will be there to share their knowledge and skills acquired from Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC)’s trail work training with volunteers.  This project will include various bite-sized small group projects through some of the trails in the Devil’s Canyon trail system, up to the wilderness boundary.  Be prepared to hike and haul tools approximately ~6 miles throughout the day. It is our hope that this will give our Bureau of Land Management partners a hand on crossing some items off their list of upkeep, and also give volunteers the opportunity to add some trail work knowledge to their toolbelt of skills!

When: Saturday, October 12th from 8AM - 12 PM

Where: McInnis Canyons NCA; meet at the Opal Hill Parking Area.

What to bring: Work gloves (if you have them), layers for different weather conditions, a lunch, and water (we will have a cooler to refill your bottles).  Tools and eye protection will be provided.

Please RSVP for this event.
