About the event

Volunteers will be using loppers and hand saws to cut down juniper and pinion saplings that would otherwise become perches for predators, scaring away the sage-grouse. The felled trees help retain soil moisture and provide habitat for small animals, improving the landscape for Gunnison sage-grouse habitat.

We are excited to be joined this year by members of the Black Canyon Audubon Society and Whit Blair from the US Fish & Wildlife Service, who will give a brief talk on Sage Grouse Habitat to kick off the event!

RSVP is required.
